IBEW Local 115

"We earnestly invite all workers belonging to our trade to come forward, join our ranks and help increase our numbers, until there is no one left working at our trade outside our Brotherhood..." What Does the I.B.E.W. LOCAL 115 Have to Offer?

Our agreements are negotiated between the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario and Local 115. Negotiations provide continual renewal to the commitment by management and labor to provide the best product at a reasonable cost. If the signatory contractor cannot compete, we as a union cannot survive. Being fair, the wage and benefit structure not only takes into consideration what it takes to compete, but also what it takes to ensure a stable workforce. We are a partnership. We work under an agreement, NO STRIKE - NO LOCK OUT.

When you need quality work, you hire quality people. We offer a team of professionally trained, career electricians. Our members undergo an intensive five-year classroom and on-the-job training curriculum, administered by the IBEW, the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario and the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. They learn it all, and then do it all, safely, efficiently and correctly.

Highly skilled electricians are available in whatever specialty is required, most times within 24 hours and with just one phone call. Contractors specify what their requirements are, and we provide the level of expertise. Local 115 provides the vehicle for you to run and grow your business. Whether you need manpower for one day or one year, we have the trained personnel to respond. Contractors often say that getting the right manpower at the right time is a big problem. Often, the difference between making a profit and suffering a loss is having the manpower to get the job done right. Newspaper ads attract workers who tell you in the office they can do it all, but in the field, more often than not, prove otherwise.

  • No more ads in the newspaper.
  • No more employment agencies.
  • No more wasted man-hours evaluating skill levels; we do the evaluation for you.
  • No more walking away from work because you may not feel you have the experienced manpower to complete the project.
  • What about your existing workforce? We will bring them into membership. We’ll provide improvement classes if necessary to bring their training up to date.
